in San Diego, CA is hiring a Manufacturing Technician III on 1st
shift. Manufacturing Technicians at this level are responsible for
conducting GMP manufacturing of solid oral and liquid oral
pharmaceutical dosage forms for Phase I and Phase II clinical
trials.This is a full-time hourly position: Monday - Friday on-site
with hours of 7:30am-4pm, though these hours may vary in order to
meet the needs of the production schedule.Catalent is committed to

- Responsible for manufacturing GMP products, following Standard
Operating Procedures (SOP), and providing accurate documentation in
production batch records
- Provides guidance and training for junior operators
- Set-up and operate automated or semi-automated equipment
- Independently writes complex production comments and
understands how to correctly escalate production related issues to
leadership, engineering, and the project lead team
- Lead staging and line clearance activities independently
- Assist leadership in continuous improvement projects and
implementation--
- Follows all safety procedures and escalate concerns to
management and EH&S. Ability to perform repetitive tasks with
accuracy and maintain high quality standards
- Other duties as assignedThe Candidate:
- High School Diploma or GED is required
- Minimum of five years of experience in GMP pharmaceutical or
medical device manufacturing is required
- Strong knowledge of cGMP principles and processes required
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend reports, technical and
cGMP documents as well as correspondence is necessary
- A team player with a positive attitude and able to take
initiative. Superior attention to detail, safety, quality and
customer requirements is critical. Ability to multitask and
proactively utilize critical thinking skills is necessary
- Physical Requirements: On an average 8-hour day this position
requires the ability to walk, sit and stand, use hands to handle or
feel, reach with hands and arms at or above shoulder height and
below waist height, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or
crawl; talk and hear, smell and lift up to 40 pounds. Specific
vision requirements including reading of written documents, visual
inspection of materials and use of computer monitor screen
frequentlyPay:
- The anticipated salary range for this role in San Diego, CA is
$50,000 - $65,000 annually. The final salary offered to a
successful candidate may vary, and will be dependent on several
factors that may include but are not limited to: the type and
length of experience within the job, type and length of experience
within the industry, skillset, education, business needs, etc.
