Job SummaryThe Level 3 Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and optimization of all hotel equipment and systems. This includes HVAC-R, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems. Candidate will have advanced technical expertise, an initiative-taking approach to problem-solving, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and efficiency.ResponsibilitiesQualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in equipment maintenance, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
• Advanced knowledge of HVAC-R, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex equipment issues.
• Understanding of hotel fire life safety systems.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Certification in relevant technical fields (e.g., HVAC-R, electrical).
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving heavy equipment.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to assist in special events setup when requested.Job Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on all hotel equipment and systems, including HVAC-R, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Work with vendors on needed repairs or be able to troubleshoot and repair equipment to minimize downtime and disruption.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance staff when needed to address and resolve maintenance issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Maintain detailed maintenance records and ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.
  • Able to use and understand hotel engineering preventive maintenance software and keep up to date.
  • Monitor and adjust building energy management systems to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests and ensure timely resolution.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following established procedures and protocols.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior maintenance staff and assist in their professional development.
  • Assist engineering department as requested by Director of Engineering, Chief Engineer, or Engineering Manager.
