• Employment Type: TravelWe are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) for a Night Shift (3x12 hours) position in Los Angeles, California. This role requires extensive experience in a Level III NICU, providing specialized care for critically ill newborns.
  
  Roles and Responsibilities:
  
  Provide comprehensive and specialized nursing care to premature and critically ill neonates in a Level III NICU setting.
  Monitor and assess vital signs, oxygen levels, and respiratory functions, ensuring timely interventions.
  Administer medications, intravenous fluids, and specialized treatments as prescribed.
  Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans for high-risk infants.
  Assist in newborn stabilization and resuscitation for infants experiencing respiratory distress or requiring advanced life support.
  Educate and support parents on neonatal care, feeding techniques, and discharge planning.
  Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols to safeguard vulnerable neonates.
  Utilize advanced neonatal monitoring equipment and Cerner EMR for accurate patient documentation.
  Work within a patient ratio of 1:2 or 1:1, ensuring personalized and intensive care.
  
  Requirements:
  
  Experience: Minimum 3+ years of recent NICU experience in a Level III setting - Required.
  Certifications: BLS, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), PALS - Required.
  Technical Skills: Proficiency in neonatal respiratory support, ventilator management, and high-risk delivery attendance.
  Strong ability to work in high-pressure situations and respond quickly to neonatal emergencies.
