  • Job Details
  • 2 year recent exp in specialty
  • Surgical Intensive Care Unit experience
  • Interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias
  • Care of Multi-system organ failure
  • Experience with pre/post Cardiac Cath/intervention
  • Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring
  • Management of sheath removal, IV insulin protocols
  • Knowledge in GI surgery management
  • Handling chronic/acute renal failure patients
  • Accessing ports, arterial line management
  • Blood product administration
  • Central line care/management
  • PICC line management, starting IVs
  • Procedural sedation administration
  • Management of CVA/acute stroke
  • External ventricular drains, hypothermia protocol
  • ICP monitoring, post-neurosurgery management
  • Assist with management of BiPAP, CPAP
  • Chest tube insertion/removal
  • Ventilator management, interpretation of ABGs
  • Infection prevention, use of PPE
  • Phlebotomy skills
  • Surgical wounds with drains
  • Charting system: Epic
    • Job Requirements
    • AHA ACLS, AHA BLS, NIH Stroke Certification
    • Float to like specialties when qualified
    • EPIC experience required
    • LA Fire card within 30 days of starting
      • Schedule Information
      • 12-hour shifts
      • Orientation details: No orientations, candidates must be comfortable working independently
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Units include: MICU, SICU, Cardiac and Neuro
          • Additional Details
          • 3-month separation required
          • Up to 10 hours of Providence specific modules completed before starting
