SUMMARYUnidosUS seeks a Program Manager, Career and Alumni, to oversee partnerships between UnidosUS and its postsecondary Affiliate sites, partners, and alumni. This role will focus on career and alumni programmatic implementation, deepening sector relationships, and supporting an innovative vision to expand the UnidosUS career pathways and alumni engagement portfolio within the Education Programs team.UnidosUS Education aims to close the educational opportunity gap for Latino students, leading to increased achievement rates and significantly more students on the pathway to sustaining jobs and careers. We do this by influencing systems to provide high-quality, culturally, and linguistically affirming educational opportunities at key milestones within a student's experience.The position is hybrid and will be based in Washington, DC or Los Angeles, CA.Salary
Washington, DC: $74,000-$82,200
Los Angeles, CA: $73,300-$81,400Essential FunctionsProgram Development and Implementation

  • Set programmatic goals that align to UnidosUS's strategic goals by leveraging the organization's competitive advantage through the expansive Alumni Network.
  • Support and develop Alumni Network strategic priorities including, but not limited to, outreach strategies, engagement opportunities, and ongoing communications and marketing plans.
  • Implement and case manage a national portfolio of career pathway programs for young adults with a network of Affiliate subgrantees, ensuring smooth program delivery and success.
  • Collaborate with other members of the UnidosUS Education team in providing guidance and technical assistance to program sites to strengthen program models, delivery, and outcomes.
  • Support the development of career pathway curricula around strategic priorities including, but not limited to, transition into the workforce, early to mid-career advancement best practices, and alumni engagement.
  • Develop, plan, and deliver effective training sessions to assist Affiliate sites and partners in launching and successfully implementing career and alumni programs at program sites.
  • Collaborate with other members of the UnidosUS Education team to design and organize experiential learning opportunities, including career panels, job shadowing, and alumni events.
  • Lead the development and implementation of events that foster alumni career advancement, mentorship opportunities, and meaningful post-program engagement to ensure ongoing career development and network building.
  • Liaise with departments across the organization including the Workforce Development and Policy and Advocacy teams to ensure alignment.Data Management and Evaluation
    • Support UnidosUS staff, program Affiliates, partners, and evaluators with program evaluation efforts.
    • Collaborate with other members of the UnidosUS Education team to identify data points, propose and create materials to define Knowledge Performance Indicators (KPIs), and disseminate practices and research to a national community of practice.External Relations
      • Prepare written internal and external reports, updates, materials, and other necessary communications.
      • Serve as a representative of the organization in various settings both internally and externally, which may include coordinating and participating in education forums that raise the visibility of UnidosUS career and alumni engagement efforts and participation on relevant advisory committees.
      • Support dissemination of career pathway information, announcements, materials, and tools.
      • Provide support in resource development and funding activities, including contributing to the preparation of funder proposals and reports.
      • Support and travel to signature Education team events, such as the biennial Education Summit, subgrantee convenings, and the UnidosUS Annual Conference.Required QualificationsEducation and Experience
        • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in education-related field.
        • Experience in career pathways and program development, particularly in working with postsecondary students and alumni.
        • Experience with or knowledge of the current landscape of career pathways programs for young adults, including the Latino workforce.
        • Experience working with people of diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
        • Familiarity with Latino non-profit organizations.
        • Flexibility to travel.
        • Demonstrated experience with and knowledge of the Latino community.Desired Qualifications
          • Bachelor's degree in education, counseling, special education, or a related field.
          • Experience working in a community-based organization or national nonprofit intermediary.
          • Fluency in Spanish.Skills and Abilities
