Senior AI Application Engineer - JavaScript, Python, UI/UX

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Senior AI Application Engineer to lead the development of innovative AI solutions in the healthcare sector. We are a mid-size startup in growth mode in the real-time intelligent world. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with JavaScript and Python for application development. Some experience in AI development, particularly in the areas of Large Language Models (LLMs) and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG). You will play a pivotal role in ensuring our applications meet healthcare regulatory requirements while utilizing modern technologies to create impactful solutions.We are a remote-first company in the US and you must have a home office in the US + may have occasional travel.This is a full-stack developer role, building products & applications in our platform. You must have expert knowledge of JavaScript and Python + shipping an AI product in a production environment (not a hobby).You will be client-facing and a trusted advisor to our healthcare clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of AI applications tailored for the healthcare industry.
• Implement and optimize Large Language Models (LLMs) and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulatory requirements during the application development process.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Utilize JavaScript, SQL, Docker, and Kubernetes for application development and deployment.
• Write and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code in Python and Shell scripting.
• Manage database systems including MongoDB, SQL, and Timeseries databases to support application functionality.
• Develop and maintain web applications that leverage generative and agentic AI technologies.Qualifications
  • 5+ years of full-stack application development.
  • Startup experience with company in high-growth mode a big plus!
  • Strong programming skills in JavaScript and SQL, with knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Expertise in Python and Shell scripting for automation and application development.
  • Experience in developing web applications with a focus on Generative and Agentic AI solutions.
  • Experience in AI application development with a strong focus on healthcare.
  • Proficiency in AI development frameworks and techniques, particularly LLMs and RAG.
  • Experience with regulatory requirements in the healthcare domain.
  • Familiarity with MongoDB, SQL databases, and Timeseries data management.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.Benefits
    • Base salary - $175,000 - $210,000 base DOE
