classification salary is $74,652 to $158,688/per year. The
anticipated hiring range is $101,760 to $104,940/per year. Salary
offered is commensurate with qualifications and

- Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or
a closely related field. Degree at the time of application or
official notification of completion of the doctoral degree by
August 1, 2025.
- Specialization in the area of Computer Engineering Technology,
Electronics or related fields with focus on Artificial Intelligence
and Machine Learning.
- Demonstrated potential for effective teaching at the college
level.
- Record of or demonstrated potential for successful research and
scholarly activity.
- Demonstrated commitment to working successfully with a diverse
student population, including Black/African American, Latine/x,
Native American/Indigenous, low-income, first-generation, and
minoritized students.Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the college level.
- Experience in teaching courses in the areas of Computer
Engineering Technology, Electronics Engineering technology,
Electronics or related fields.
- Demonstrated ability and clear plans for the development of
research programs in Computer Engineering Technology, Electronics
or related fields with focus on AI and Machine Learning.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise student thesis and
projects.
- Ability to develop programs and curriculum.
- Active participant in academic governance.
- Experience of successfully working with populations
demographically and/or socioeconomically similar to the CSULB
student body.
- Experience mentoring or supporting students with minoritized
identities or experience using inclusive and culturally relevant
teaching strategies in a diverse classroom.Duties:
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in, or related to,
Computer Engineering Technology, Electronics, as well as
fundamental undergraduate courses in Electrical Engineering and
Engineering Technology.
- Develop programs and curriculum and keep content current.
- Mentor and advise students.
- Supervise graduate student theses and projects.
- Develop and maintain an ongoing research program which
complements and enhances research activities in Electrical
Engineering and Engineering Technology leading to publications and
external funding.
- Engage in service to the department, college, university, and
